FRESH CONCEPT: LADY B’S THE SESSION / BEYOND THE TALENT [Jus Nice, Miloh Smith, Curtis Williams]

We’re rounding the last curve people and Lady B‘s The Session is quickly approaching its first year on November 16th!

Here at MFD, we wholeheartedly believe in keeping the fresh first and being the ones to bring it to the consciousness of the masses. The homie Mehka (DJs Doing Work, Soletron, Notes From The Underground) is with the same idea. And of course B is on the same exact grind as host of the monthly Session event here in Atlanta.

For the past few weeks, we’ve been bringing you the recaps of their first year where everyone from Rolls Royce Rizzy to K Camp had the opportunity to shine on the mic and provide a little bit of backstory, you know, just to even things out.

Miloh Smith

Can’t wait to see what she and the team have cooked up for their second year.

This week’s recap features performances from and interviews with emcee Jus Nice, singer/rapper Miloh Smith and Curtis Williams of the city’s Two 9 collective. Check it.

ScottyATL, “All the H03$: In the South, they call a track like this- ‘ridin’ music.’ Because most people out here in Atlanta have a whip, it’s essential to have something chill to bump while driving. Get it? Gotta admit, this latest track from Scotty should be getting much play in these streets once his next project ’Forever Atlanta In The Heart (F.A.I.T.H.)’ drops. Produced by the always-intuitive DJ Burn One with a feature from Curtis Williams of the Two9 collective. How ironic that today is Scotty’s birthday and this treat was in my inbox. 🙂 Enjoy.
