On Friday evening, March 4, Street Money general Bankroll Fresh was gunned down in front of the Street Execs studio in Atlanta. I was on my way home from Future’s ‘Purple Reign’ tour when it happened, and I was crawling into bed when I heard the news. Fresh was the only person hit after 50-plus rounds were let off and he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. No one knows motive yet, but the streets are saying it’s rooted in jealousy and hate. And crabs not wanting to see Bankroll win.

You know how sometimes you run into a situation that feels familiar, but not really? Six years ago when I started taking baby steps, moving around a little in Atlanta, I remember visiting the building that is now Street Execs Studios.
Last week, MFD was invited to a private screening of Zaytoven‘s latest film ‘Finesse’ — which he touched on in his recent interview with Day 1. The tagline is ‘Just because you see it, don’t mean it’s there.’ So you get where this is going right?
The other day, MFD was invited to attend Rick Ross’ private listening of his latest LP Hood Billionaire right here in Atlanta.
The event was held at Chef Sammy Davis’s (of Food Network fame) new spot Sweet Auburn Seafood and the city’s top media came out to see exactly what Rozay had planned for 2014’s fourth quarter. Continue reading

So the other day, DJ Holiday threw his first major concert here in the Atlanta metro area. There’s a spot on the northside in Gwinnett County called Wild Bill’s — which, as the name reflects, was initially marketed to a whole different demographic than who patronized on last Friday night. The country western appeal of the venue went unnoticed as twenty-something rap fans flocked to the outskirts of Atlanta to catch the Migos perform in their hometown. Continue reading
