Years ago I met DJ Jelly in passing. Out of a crew of Northerners in the A, I was the only one who recognized him from his avid work in Atlanta’s hip-hop scene, even after moving here in the tail end of the ’90s — the very last year actually.
The thing is: his work reputation precedes him, a great quality. I think all three of us learned something new this week from Jellybean.
Mixes from DJ Wally Sparks as usual and DJ Mars spoke on the brand new Art Behind the Tape book. Dopeness.
