Fresh Mixtape | DJ Black Bill Gates (@blackbillgates) X Core DJ Cube (@COREDJCUBE) ‘Leave That Country Shit To Us’: Honestly speaking, I wasn’t residing in the South when most of the songs on this tracklisting dropped initially and we all know Hot 97 wasn’t playing much ‘ridin’ music’ back then… LOL. I say that to say- the nostalgia may be lost on me, but probably not on you, particularly if you knew the go-to guy with the trunk full of CDs or the right booth at the flea market off Candler Rd. on Atlanta’s Eastside. 😉 I know a little bit… Enjoy.

Fresh Music | DJ Wally Sparks (@djwallysparks) X 9th Wonder (@9thWonderMusic)-  ’Pat’s Soul Shack’: My guy Wally Sparks just dropped his latest mix ‘Pat’s Soul Shack’ (on 2/14) and I can’t stop listening. The hour-long project is all 9th Wonder-ethereal sounding, dope scratch techniques and a lovely blend of folks from Jean Grae to Badu. It’s all in this one player so start it, pause it, go run errands and come back to it at your leisure. 🙂

Fresh Vid | Trinidad James Feat. 2 Chainz, T.I. & Young Jeezy “All Gold Everything (Remix)”- Behind the Scenes: Everyone’s favorite Trini (currently) has had one hell of a streak. The “A.G.E. (Remix)” video reportedly takes all four rappers back to the settings of their very first videos. With the upcoming release of the full visual, here’s to hoping Trinidad’s wins continue…

Fresh Vid | Chance the Rapper X BJ the Chicago Kid Hit the Lab: Somebody actually put me on to BJ’s ‘Pineapple Now Laters’ very recently. I’d always liked BJ but I hadn’t heard ‘PNL’ in its totality until this one cat a few months back. So yeah, I was grateful for the education. I have yet to become a major fan of Chance but just the Chi Town Kid’s involvement in his upcoming ‘AcidRap’ project has me extra interested.

Chance the Rapper & BJ the Chicago Kid In The Studio

The Rapper and The Chicago Kid recently hit the studio together to work on a record for Chance’s upcoing AcidRap project.

New Music | Gucci Mane ‘Trap God 2’: Trust. The first ‘Trap God’ didn’t really grab me but I get it. There are some of y’all out here still listening to Gucci’s very first tapes. I do this for y’all too. 😉 Enjoy

New Mixtape:

Gucci Mane – Trap God 2

Gucci is back at it with the second installment of his Trap God mixtape series. Features include Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Young Scooter, Waka Flocka, Lloyd and more.

Frank Ocean – We All Try

#Fresh (awful performance though… I still love you Frank.)

U run my mind boy

Fresh Beat | Jose Nunez (@sirgoodfood) “Welcome-Early Night”: Here’s the thing. Sometimes artists/producers send me tracks or videos. When I have the chance to weed through them all and find a good one, I’m glad to post it. This particular morning, I go in and find this jewel from Paterson, NJ’s Jose Nunez a.k.a. Good Food (Guiding Our Own Dreams & Finding Out Our Destination). His instrumental project ‘C.R.U.M.B.S.’ or Creating Raw Underground Music By Sounds can be found here. I like that this sounds so familiar. Definitely underground. Enjoy.

New Music | Skyzoo (@skyzoo) “Floor Seats”: That Brooklyn boy Skyzoo is back again with the third offering from his upcoming ‘Band Practice’ project. Heard this joint- where he tips his (presumably Nets) hat to Jay- and immediately listened to Diddy’s “Young G’s.” Then Oliver Sain’s “On the Hill.” Just a lil’ history. Just a lil’. 😉

“It’s time.

I appreciate you giving me the time I needed to grow, experiment, and find the direction for my 2nd album.. And I have.

Along the way I’ve recorded at least 4 albums worth of material, lots of it being unfinished demo versions waiting to be polished up, some of them are great songs and important stories that just won’t make the album (either they don’t fit Sonically, don’t fit Theme, or there’s just not enough space) .

Tonight, I want to give you a few of these songs because you deserve them. It’s hard as fuck for me to keep all this music from you for so long, so I know it’s been hard for you to wait. Thank you for your patience. Vibe out to these songs in their raw form, no polish.. just a lot of my soul..

The wait is over.

Truly Yours,

Born Sinner

Truly Yours

PS- 1st single coming this week. The album is hands down my best work yet. Can’t wait to share”
