Tez McClain “Jordans and a Gold Chain”: Southside Cortez has impeccable timing. I, on the other hand do not, LOL. He dropped this off in my inbox over the last week, just in time for Jordan’s Born Day. Nice sample, I keep wanting to warble, “Ain’t no woman like the one I got…” after the loop. Perfect aim also with the Nas sample in there. Paying homage all around. Good work Tez. Enjoy kids.

Skewby “Sunny”: Told y’all I talked to this cat VERY recently right? Memphis emcee, very humble, talented, easy going. “Sunny” was an excellent choice to make visual. Beautiful song. He told me in the interview that it’s more then just a love track… *shrugs* Go figure. I love it though- either way. Peep the vid and check for the story link later.

Dom Kennedy X HipHopDX: “I did [want to have a career in baseball]. Especially when I was about 12 to 15 years old, I was actually on all-star teams and things like that. I played mostly first base. I pitched a little bit but I played mostly first base and third base. I was starting to get recruited by colleges pretty early so you know? That’s what my goal was and that was really the only thing that I saw myself doing.”

TiRon & Ayomari “Good Food”: I really dig these two, and yes, I know my last post was on a visual they did, but I’m always amused watching them play off each other. That and everytime I hear anything new from The Cafeteria Line, it makes me think of my first time on La Cienega. Sunny and bright. Enjoy kids.

TiRon & Ayomari- “What You Waiting On”: The homie from LA, TiRon, has dropped a visual to “What You Waiting On” (produced by DK) alongside his right hand man, A-town native, Ayomari.  I get it guys, you’re so ready to get ‘it’ started, you’re running the streets half naked, brushing your teeth… Directed by Andrew Quesada. Cute. Daring. Different. Check it.

I met Skewby at this particular event. Was just gonna peep the scene, but Antonio the Manager made me introduce myself. LOL. ;o) Glad I did. Real talented young dude. Copped that interview the next day. Watch for the link…
